
Coastal Bend splits series with Pelicans

Coastal Bend Aviators News Release
PENSACOLA, FL. -The Coastal Bend Aviators lose game four of the four game series, leaving town splitting with the Pelicans at two games a piece.
Marc "Ace " Acierno picked up his second loss of the season pitching 5.2 innings allowing 7 runs off of 9 hits, all of which were earned. The Aviators appeared to be on their way to a win leading 4-3 until the bottom of the sixth inning. In the sixth the game came unraveled as an unsuccessful double play attempt kept the inning alive.
The Pelicans proceeded to send 10 hitters to the plate scoring six runs. The Aviators played their first day game of the season with the first pitch coming at 10:06 A.M.
The Aviators will now travel to Jackson, Mississippi to play the Jackson Senators in a four game series.
The Coastal Bend Aviators will play the Jackson Senators beginning tomorrow at 7:05. The Aviators will be home on the 27th to play the Edinburg Roadrunners.
