FORT COLLINS, CO - The Colorado ICE (5-8) met a solid defeat against the Pacific Division-Leading Billings Outlaws this Saturday, losing on the road 83-30.

The Outlaws defense held the ICE offense to only four touchdowns and one field goal while keeping the ICE defense plenty busy. Scoring opened optimistically for the ICE, with the ICE securing the first touchdown at the 9:05 mark in the first quarter by RB Maurice Cantrell. But the Billings outlaws was quick to respond with a 15 yard run by Charles Anthony at the 6:32 mark, and shored up their lead with subsequent touchdowns at the 4:30 and 0:15 marks by Charles Anthony on a 2 yard run, followed by James Walton on a 44 yard pass, making the score 20-7 Outlaws.

The second quarter opened with Outlaw Mike Bazemore nabbing a 21 yard missed field goal return at the 11:48 mark, adding to the Outlaw lead to make it 27-7 Outlaws. Newly signed kicker Deric Yaussi, a former ICE and AFL's Colorado Crush, completed a 45 yard field goal at the 8:47 mark, inching the ICE score up to 27-10 Outlaws. But the ICE would need more than a field goal to cut down the Outlaws lead as Billings responded with a four yard touchdown run by Chris Markey at the 5:29 mark and a 29 yard TD pass from QB Chris Dixon to Robert Redd at the 1:23 mark. The ICE were finally able to beat the Billings defense for a five yard TD pass from new ICE QB Ryan Clement to WR George Hill at the 0:43 mark in the second. But again the Outlaws responded with a 9 yard TD pass from Chris Dixon to James Walton at the 0:11 mark, making the score 48-17 Outlaws at the half.

The third quarter saw the ICE held to a lone 2 yard touchdown run by QB Miles Scheer at the 4:40 mark while the Outlaws offense continued to run up the score. Scoring in the third opened with a 39 yard TD pass from Chris Dixon to James Walton at the 13:24 mark. Eric McCain of the Outlaws followed Walton's TD with a 2 yard TD pass at the 8:53 mark, increasing the Outlaw's lead to 62-17. Following Scheer's TD, the Outlaws again responded with two touchdowns, a 11 yard TD pass from Chris Dixon to Robert Redd at the 3:17 mark and a 14 yard run by Monte Purvis at the 1:21 mark. The score was 76-24 headed into the fourth.
