Club Statement on the Injury of Midfielder Arun Basuljevic

Fresno Football Club has issued the following statement in regards to the condition of player Arun Basuljevic:

Arun Basuljevic underwent successful surgery this morning at Community Regional Medical Center to repair a broken left fibula he suffered during Saturday night's game against Las Vegas Lights FC. Basuljevic is expected to miss the remainder of the 2019 season.

Head Coach Adam Smith said, "My heart goes out to Arun [Basuljevic] with the injury. We talked to the guys about it in the locker room and will try to turn this into a positive. We are going to do whatever we can to try to win every game from here on out for him."

Basuljevic joined Los Zorros before the start of the 2019 season and had made 19 starts in 20 appearances. The New York native had scored four goals, created 33 chances, and was named twice to the USL Team of the Week this season.

Basuljevic had the following message for his fans: "Thank you so much to all the fans for the support now and all season. My spirits are high and I can't wait to play in front of you again."
