Cloutier picks up fourth Goalie of the Week award

Rockford, Ill.- As the Rockford IceHogs keep rolling so does their goaltender. The United Hockey League announced on Monday that Hogs goalie Frederic Cloutier was awarded the UHL's Southern Sports Supply Goalie of the Week Award. It's the fourth time this season in which Cloutier has earned the honor.
Cloutier allowed just one goal in all three of the IceHogs wins during Week 18. The St. Honore, Quebec native began the week with a 21 save performance in Rockford's 6-1 win over the Bloomington PrairieThunder. On Friday night, Cloutier continued his solid play behind the Hogs stingy defense making 16 save in a 2-1 shootout victory over the Flint Generals.
The All-Star goalie completed Week 18 with another one-goal performance on Saturday night. The IceHogs outlasted the Muskegon Fury at the MetroCentre 5-1 as Cloutier blocked 25 Fury shots in the winning effort. The Hogs net minder has been between the pipes for all five of Rockford's wins in the club's current five-game winning Streak.
Cloutier also earned the Goalie of the Week honors during Week 6, 12 and 14. No other IceHogs goalie has won Goalie of the Week more than twice in one season.
Next Homestand: Friday, Feb. 16 vs. Chicago Hounds. Game time is 7:30 p.m. Rockford and Chicago meet up again at the MetroCentre and the first 1,000 fans will pick up an IceHogs Draw String Bag from Power Connection.
Saturday, Feb. 17 vs. Quad City Mallards. The puck drops at 7:05 p.m. The Hogs archrivals clash at the MetroCentre in a big Western Conference showdown. The first 1,000 kids 12-and under will receive an replica youth IceHogs jersey from Feldco Windows and Doors and WXRX-FM 104.9 Also this weekend, the IceHogs welcome Jimmy Neutron to the MetroCentre. Fans are welcomed to bring their cameras as kids can get their picture taken with one of Nickolodean's most popular cartoon characters.
