Mississippi Braves News Release
Puckett strikes out five, Moritz hits two doubles to extend hit streak to nine games BOX SCORE MONTGOMERY, AL - Hendrik Clementina crushed a 458-foot three-run homer, but the Mississippi Braves (29-39) fell 6-5 to the Montgomery Biscuits (27-34) on Saturday night at Riverwalk Stadium.
After the first five M-Braves batters failed to reach, Andrew Moritz lined a two-out double down the right field line in the second. After a walk, Clementina parked a three-run 458-foot homer in the trees to the right of the scoreboard in left center to give the M-Braves a 3-0 lead.
Clementina went 1-for-4 with a home run and three RBI. The catcher is batting .238 with six homers and 20 RBI in 46 games this season.
Leading 3-1 in the fourth, Cody Milligan chopped a ball over the mound that was taken and thrown wide of first by Greg Jones to allow Moritz to score and extend the lead to 4-1.
Brett Wisely hit a two-run opposite-field home run in the bottom of the inning to pull it to 4-3.
In the fifth, Moritz hit his second double to the right field corner, scoring Jalen Miller to make it 5-3.
Moritz went 2-for-3 with two doubles, an RBI, a walk and a run. He extended his hit streak to nine games. Over the streak, Moritz is hitting .353 with five RBI.
RHP AJ Puckett relieved RHP Darius Vines in the fifth. Puckett struck out five for all five of his outs before exiting with two outs in the sixth. That's when Greg Jones smashed a three-run home run off the bottom of the scoreboard to give the Biscuits their first lead of the game 6-5.
Unlike the past two nights, the Biscuits bullpen held up over the final four innings in their 6-5 win.

The series finale is on Sunday at Riverwalk Stadium. RHP Tanner Gordon (4-3, 7.07) makes the start for Mississippi in what will be a bullpen day for Montgomery. The first pitch is at 3:33 pm CT, with coverage starting at 3:18 pm CT on 103.9 WYAB, TuneIn Radio, First Pitch App, and MiLB.tv.
