Orlando Predators News Release
ORLANDO, Fla. (Jan. 18) -- The Orlando Predators announced today a comprehensive marketing, promotions and sponsorship agreement with Clear Channel Communications.
The one-year agreement, which includes a one-year option, means that WQTM (740 AM) will once again broadcast all 16 Orlando Predators regular season games. The station will also broadcast all post-season games. Marc Daniels, host of the popular "Coach and Company" afternoon radio show on WQTM, will return for an 11th season as primary play-by-play announcer. Tom Morgan will serve as back-up play-by-play announcer and Predators Public Relations Director Dan Pearson begins his second season as color analyst.
The agreement will include a daily Predators Report, at 7:45 a.m., Monday through Friday, during the season. Clear Channel will periodically identify WQTM 740 The Team as "Home of the Orlando Predators" through use of station IDs and images.
The comprehensive agreement includes arena signage, promotional tickets, and "official status" for Clear Channel stations WQTM, WJRR, WTKS and WXXL. The agreement also calls for specific media buys by the Predators throughout the season.
"We are thrilled to welcome Clear Channel and its stations back for an 11th season as official broadcasting partners of the Orlando Predators," team president Brett Bouchy said. "This agreement not only lowers our operating costs, but provides the Predators with tremendous exposure on several of Clear Channel's highly rated stations. A lot of the growth we have experienced over the last couple of seasons can be directly tied to our partnership with Clear Channel and its stations."
