Calgary Roughnecks News Release
Calgary, AB (April 13, 2005) - The Toronto Rock (12-3) undisputed champions of the National Lacrosse League's East Division will be in Calgary this Sunday, April 17 (start 2 p.m.) to take on the Roughnecks (9-6), current West Division leaders. It is the final game of the regular season for both clubs.
Though Toronto has already locked up first place in the East, Calgary needs to either beat Toronto or get some help from Anaheim if they are to host the Western final on April 30.
If Arizona should lose just one of their home and home games with Anaheim on Friday and Saturday, Calgary will finish in first place.
But if the Sting defeat Anaheim twice and Calgary loses to Toronto, Arizona will take the West and the Roughnecks will host the West Division semi-final against the Colorado Mammoth on April 22. The winner of that joust will travel to Arizona the following weekend.
