
Clarkson Resigns As Surge Chief Operating Officer

BILOXI, MS -- The Mississippi Surge announced on Monday that Art Clarkson has resigned as Chief Operating Officer to pursue a similar opportunity with an Indoor Football League team in Wisconsin.
"I was shocked when Art came to me with a letter of resignation," said Surge head coach and general manager Steffon Walby. "We're grateful for all that he's done here and the impact he has made on the Mississippi Surge, and we wish him the best in his future endeavors."
For the remainder of the season, head coach and general manager Steffon Walby and assistant general manager Chris Birch will share management responsibility within the Surge front office.
