(Ludlow, MA) - The Harrisburg City Islanders completed their weekend road trip in winning fashion, defeating the Western Mass Pioneers by the score of 1-0 behind a first-half goal from rookie Carlos Morales and a six-save shutout from goalkeeper Sam Bishop at Lusitano Stadium.
With their first road win of the year, the City Islanders improve to 2-4-2 (8 points).
The 23-year-old Morales, making his first start, produced his first professional goal in the 36th minute. Fellow rookie Justin Sadler, a Cumberland Valley High School product in the starting eleven for the third straight outing, also recorded his first pro point on the score, providing the assist.
Bishop and the Harrisburg defense did the rest, recording their third shutout in four games despite being outshot 15-9 by the Pioneers (including 7-2 in the second half).
