Buffalo Bandits News Release

Buffalo, N.Y. (February 18, 2004) --- With the departure of assistant coach Terry Sanderson to Toronto, Buffalo Bandits General Manager Kurt Silcott has reappointed Randy Chrysler as defensive assistant coach. Chrysler left the team following the 2003 season due to conflicting time commitments. Now, with the vacancy left by Sanderson and the season halfway completed, Chrysler returns to his prior position with the franchise. His responsibilities will include running the overall defensive scheme and assisting Buffalo's head coach Darris Kilgour. Chrysler led the defense to the fourth-best goals-against average (11.71) in the NLL during the 2003 season.

"Actually we got really lucky, Randy was our first choice all along. When we lost Terry, our first call was to (Randy) to see if he had the time to return to the bench," said Silcott. "He checked his obligations and made the decision to make a full-time commitment to the Bandits. Randy is familiar with our players and brings that same motivational aspect that made our defense so tough last season. We feel like we've brought a family member back home and the players are very excited that Randy is returning to the team."

A native of the Tuscarora Nation in Lewiston, N.Y., Chrysler coached Bandits head coach Darris Kilgour at Niagara Wheatfield High School. His other coaching experience includes head coach in the Niagara-on-the-Lake Lacrosse Association and Wheatfield Blades Junior B. hockey team. Chrysler has been playing lacrosse for the last 30 years and has a Presidents Cup title on his resume.

The Bandits' next home game is on Friday, March 5, at 7:30 PM vs. the Toronto Rock. Ticket packages are available by calling the Buffalo Bandits Ticket Office at 1-888-467-2273, or fans can purchase packages at the HSBC Arena Box Office or any Tickets.com locations.
