Calgary Stampeders News Release
The Calgary Stampeders have released international receiver Chris Matthews.
The 29-year-old Long Beach, Calif., native played four regular-season contests as well as the Western Final and the Grey Cup game after signing with the Stamps on Oct. 2. Matthews made 12 catches for 252 yards and one touchdown during his four regular-season appearances and added seven receptions for 98 yards in the post-season.
