CHL Scott Wray Becomes Fifth to Score 300 CHL Goals

GLENDALE, AZ - Rapid City Rush forward Scott Wray became just the fifth player in Central Hockey League history to score 300 CHL goals thanks to his second period score in Friday's 4-1 win in Arizona against the Sundogs.
Wray, in his 13th CHL season and fifth with the Rush, joins Joe Burton, Travis Clayton, Jason Duda and Paul Jackson as the only members of the 300-goal club.
In his CHL career, the Ottawa, Ontario native has played in 693 games (sixth most in League history) scoring 608 points (14th most in League history). Friday's goal is his 100th as a member of the Rush.
The veteran's best professional season came during his first campaign with the Rush (2009-10) when he led the team with 31 regular season goals and a +31 plus/minus rating and he was second in team scoring with 78 points. In the post-season, Wray scored eight goals with 13 assists and was a team-best +15 with his most memorable goal coming in the final minute of double overtime of Rapid City's Game 6 Presidents' Cup clinching victory over the Allen Americans.
Wray, the Rush's Captain has been a big reason for the team's perfect start to the 2013-14 season as they currently sit with a 6-0-0 record.
