CHL Loyalty Rewards Program Welcomes Canadian Technical Tape

Published on April 21, 2010 under Central Hockey League (CHL) News Release

(Tempe, Arizona) - The Central Hockey League (CHL) announced today that Canadian Technical Tape (Cantech) has joined the CHL Loyalty Rewards program becoming the program's first business-to-business merchant. Learn more about the CHL's reward's program at www.chlpoints.com .

CHL Loyalty Rewards program is one of the fastest growing sports affinity programs made up of fans, sponsors and companies. By joining the program as a merchant, Cantech can provide its clients, staff, suppliers and community an opportunity to gain a greater appreciation and earn rewards on certain initiatives. Cantech will offer rewards and allow members to redeem rewards based on purchases of its Sportstape brand of hockey and trainer's tapes along with hockey laces.

"Cantech, an integral new partner in one of the CHL Loyalty Rewards key deliverables -- building businesses, represents the clear and positive progress the CHL has made to execute its stated strategy of adding well-known, respected brands to the program," said Duane Lewis, CHL Commissioner.

The program is unique in its design by allowing members to earn through Merchant initiatives as well as swap in and out of the program to other participating loyalty programs.

"We see the CHL Loyalty Rewards Program as a new and dynamic way to promote our Sportstape brand of hockey and athletic tapes," said Paul Cohen, Cantech Vice President. "These kinds of marketing efforts have become part of our culture - offered by retailers, airlines, gas stations, banks. Consumers look for them because they bring a value-added component to the products and services they buy. We anticipate a new kind of interest in our tape products because of the opportunity to accumulate redeemable points with every purchase."

CHL Loyalty Rewards members will be able to take advantage of this new partnership with Cantech starting May 1, 2010.
