Chinooks aim for best season yet in 2007

Portland, OR-The Portland Chinooks kicks off its third season in the International Basketball League against the visiting Vancouver Volcanoes at 2:00pm on Sunday, March 11. With a new venue and its most talented lineup ever, the Chinooks expects the 2007 season to be a great one for the team and its fans.

Portland Chinooks 2007 Venue

The Portland Chinooks new home for the 2007 International Basketball League season is the Peter W. Stott Center on the Campus of Portland State University.

The 1,500 seat Stott Center is located at 930 SW Hall Street, Portland, Oregon 97201

The Chinooks' opponent on Sunday, the Vancouver Volcanoes, will also feature a much improved roster this season-including former Jefferson High School star and Kansas University player Michael Lee (pictured at left). PSU grad Tyler Hollist and 2006 IBL All-Star Brad Lechtenberg will join Lee in the Volcanoes' lineup.

Before tip-off, the Portland Chinooks will host a carnival for its young fans, sponsored by Partyworks. The kids' carnival will offer games, prizes and entertainment, and begins at 1:00pm.
