Chilliwack Bruins News Release
The Chilliwack Bruins wheeled their way out of the third overall pick at Thursday's Western Hockey League bantam draft, sliding into the ninth slot to select Steven Hodges.
The Bruins turned around and dealt the third overall pick to the Edmonton Oil Kings, along with their first selection in the 2010 CHL import draft.
In exchange for dropping down six spots, they also got Edmonton's third round pick this year, fifth round pick in 2010, 19-year-old forward Shayne Neigum and Edmonton's first pick (23rd overall) in this year's CHL import draft.

The Chilliwack Bruins have traded 19 year old defenceman Matt Strong to the Vancouver Giants in exchange for the Giants 8th round selection in the 2010 WHL Bantam Draft.
