The Salt Lake Bees left the tying and winning runs on base in the bottom of the ninth inning Thursday in the El Paso Chihuahuas' 3-2 win. El Paso has won 13 of its last 16 games.

Chihuahuas starter Brett Kennedy pitched seven shutout innings in his longest start of the year. Kennedy has allowed only one run in his last 13.1 innings.

After an 11-10 game Wednesday, neither team scored until the seventh inning Thursday. Neither team had a runner reach third base in the first five innings. The Chihuahuas turned three double plays in the win.
