The Syracuse Chiefs, Triple-A affiliate of the Washington Nationals, are pleased to announce that the first 1,000 children 12 & younger in attendance for the team's game on Tuesday, August 3 against the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees will be invited to participate in an attempt to break the world record for the longest human train.

The world record attempt, which is presented by Geico and China Towne Furniture & Mattress, will take place in the right field upper deck of Alliance Bank Stadium prior to the scheduled 7:00pm first pitch. All of the children who participate in the human train will be given free t-shirts compliments of Geico, China Towne Furniture & Mattress, Custom Logo USA, and the CMC Dance Company.

"We are excited to give our younger fans the unique opportunity to see a ball game and break a world record all in one night," said Chiefs General Manager John Simone. "We hope that the chance to make history at the ballpark creates a very memorable experience."

Participants will be organized on Tuesday so that the human train will spell out the word ‘Chiefs.' The current world record for the longest human train stands at 710 participants.

Tickets for all Syracuse Chiefs home games can be purchased in person at the team's ticket office at Alliance Bank Stadium, by calling 315-474-7833, or online at SyracuseChiefs.com.
