(Chico, CA. January 27, 2011) The Chico Outlaws of the new North American League announced today that they have concluded an extension with Chico State University for the team to continue to play at Nettleton Stadium on the college campus. Agreed to in principle in November, all the final details have been worked out and the agreement in now finalized.

"It will be good to be back at "The Net", said Chico Outlaws President Mike Marshall. "We have been the most successful team in the GBL with our two titles, including last year's league championship, and the home field advantage of playing in a great facility in front of the best fans in the league has been a big part of that. It is true that we had opportunities to play in other communities in the north state but never seriously considered being any place else as long as the university wanted to continue hosting professional baseball. "

The lease extension is for this season and can be extended further through mutual agreement of the two parties in the future.

"We are pleased to have the Outlaws continuing to provide great family entertainment and high quality minor league baseball in our facility," said Chico State President Paul Zingg. "We were impressed with the quality of the team on the field in 2010 and with their front office and are looking forward to cheering for another season of pro ball this summer."
