Chicago Wolves News Release
The Chicago Wolves have entered into a three-year agreement with the National Hockey League's St. Louis Blues.
"We are very excited about the relationship we are starting with the St.
Louis Blues," said Wolves General Manager WENDELL YOUNG. "The Blues have the same philosophy about their players on both the NHL and AHL level as we do, and that is maturing them in a winning environment. Part of player development is teaching players how to establish a winning attitude on and off the ice and I think we have a great recipe to pass onto St. Louis' players.
St. Louis is currently competing in its 45th season in the NHL and sits in sixth place in the Western Conference playoff race with 54 points through 45 games (26-17-2). The Blues captured the 2011-12 Central Division championship and finished the 2011-12 campaign tied for second in the NHL with 109 points (49-22-11).
The Wolves have won four league championships in 19 seasons of competition: the International Hockey League's Turner Cup in 1998 and 2000, and the American Hockey League's Calder Cup in 2002 and 2008.
Chicago will celebrate its 20th Anniversary when the 78th American Hockey League regular season kicks off in October. For more information on season tickets for the 2013-14 season, visit chicagowolves.com or call 1-800-THE-WOLVES.
