On the Road Again: The Chicago Storm will play the next five games on the road, not playing a Major Indoor Soccer League regular season home game until February 24 versus the Baltimore Blast.
On Top of the League: Let's Go Storm! Chicago sits in third place in the MISL standings with a 7-7 record, the best start in team history... Team captain Gaston Pernia is second in the MISL in blocked shots with 28... Midfielder Mariano Bollella is tied for second in the MISL in assists with 14 and tied for first in the league in game winning goals with two... Rookie forward Stephen Armstrong is tied for second in the MISL in restart goals with four... Rookie Stephen Armstrong is fourth in the league in power play goals with four... Midfielder Andy Rosenband is tied for second in the league in short handed goals with one... Target man Chris Handsor is tied for first in the MISL in sixth attacker goals with two.
First Timers: For the first time in his career as a member of the Storm, target man Mark Ughy has now missed two straight games due to injury. The Hungarian forward had his knee scoped on January 7th and is expected to return to the lineup in the next week or so.
Record Breaker: Rookie forward Stephen Armstrong has 11 goals this season going into Wednesday nights' game versus the Cougars. The Birkenhead England native needs only five goals to tie the Storm's rookie goal record of 16 set by forward Awadalla Morad in 2004-05.
Milestones: Storm target man Chris Handsor is also only six games shy of playing in his 300th career MISL/NPSL game... Veteran defender Sinisa Alebic needs only five blocks to reach 150 on his career... Storm midfielder Matthew Stewart needs 19 points for 150 on his career... Jorge Valle has set a personal best record for blocked shots in a season with eleven blocked shots, prior to this season Jorge had only nine blocked shots in his two previous MISL seasons.
Hot Streaks: In his last ten games, midfielder Mariano Bollella has four goals and nine assists...Midfielder Stephen Armstrong has had nine goals and three assists in his last ten games...In his last ten games, Awadalla Morad has had five goals and six assists...the captain Gaston Pernia remains at second place in the league in blocks with an impressive 28... Chris Handsor has scored seven goals with five assists bringing his point total to 19 in his last ten games... Matthew Stewart extended his scoring streak to a goal in each of his last six games...
On Tap: For the next month, the Chicago Storm heads out on the road with three road games taking place this week alone. After Wednesday's match up versus the Cougars in Stockton California, the Storm heads to Baltimore on Friday the 26th to take on the Blast and then travels to Philadelphia on Saturday to face the first place Philadelphia KiXX

The Chicago Storm is a member of the Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL). Chicago's professional indoor soccer team, plays its' home games at the all-new Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates.
