On Top of the League: Go Storm! Chicago sits in second place in the MISL standings with a 7-4 record, the best start in team history... Team captain Gaston Pernia is first in the MISL in blocked shots with 21... Midfielder Mariano Bollella is second in the MISL in assists with 12 and tied for first in the league in game winning goals with two... Rookie forward Stephen Armstrong is first in the MISL in restart goals with four... Rookie Stephen Armstrong is fourth in the league in goals with 11.

First Timers: Rookie forward Stephen Armstrong earned his first career block and assist this weekend.... Midfielder Andy Rosenband scored his first career three-point goal Saturday versus the Baltimore Blast... Rosenband also scored the Storm's first short handed goal of the season Saturday... Chris Handsor earned his first hat trick and his first game winning goal as a member of the Storm, Saturday in the win versus Baltimore...

Power Plays/Penalty Kills: The Storm leads the league in power plays with a 54.5% conversion rate... Chicago is also first in the league in penalty kills with the same 68.4% kill percentage.

Valle Milestones: After last weekend, forward Jorge Valle has played in 73 career games as a member of the Storm, setting a new Storm record for games played with the team. The old record of 71 was held by former Storm midfielder and current Detroit Ignition captain Novica "Novi" Marojevic ... Valle has already set a personal best record for blocked shots in a season with eight blocked shots, prior to this season Jorge had only nine blocked shots in his two previous seasons in the MISL.

Milestones II: Storm target man Chris Handsor is also only nine games shy of playing in his 300th career MISL/NPSL game... Veteran defender Sinisa Alebic needs only five blocks to reach 150 on his career... Storm midfielder Matthew Stewart is two points shy of 125 for his career... Defender Randy Soderman is seven games shy of his 100th MISL game... Goalkeeper Jim Larkin is 19 saves away from reaching 3000 on his career.

Hot Streaks: In his last eight games, midfielder Mariano Bollella has four goals and nine assists... In his last nine games, rookie Stephen Armstrong has 11 goals and an assist... Forward Awadalla Morad has had at least one goal or an assist in six straight games... Goalkeeper Jeff Richey has now won his sixth straight regular season game in net... Richey has also had an assist in both of his starts this season.

On Tap: After Saturday's match up versus the California Cougars, the Chicago Storm heads on the road for six weeks. The next Storm home game isn't until Saturday, February 24, at 1 p.m. versus the Baltimore Blast.
