Dynamite Defense: The Chicago Storm is currently riding a four game winning streak, which has been credited to an offense that has scored an average of seven goals a game, although the defense has quietly allowed only 3.5 goals per game in that same stretch. In the past four games, the defense of the Storm has stifled their opponent's offensive attack by allowing only 12.25 shots on goal. "Yellow and Black" goalkeeper Danny Waltman has solidified his place as one of the top goalkeepers in the league, saving 35 of 49 shots faced in the past four games. The 24-year-old netminder has now saved 231 shots on the season, ranking him third in the league in saves. The Gig Harbor, Washington native picked up his 10th win of the season in an 8-4 victory at home over the Kansas City Comets on February 5. Head Coach Frank Klopas has utilized Gaston and Leo Pernia as a defensive pairing and Tijani Ayegbusi and Fred DeGand as another to help smother offenses and close down passing lanes.

Double Trouble: Storm forward Byron Alvarez and midfielder/forward Nino DaSilva have been on a scoring streak as of late, helping to contribute to the current four-game winning streak the "Yellow and Black" is riding. Currently, Alvarez has managed to tally at least one goal in the past four games, including a hat trick in an 8-4 win at home on February 5 against the Kansas City Comets. The Mexico City native set the team scoring streak record, managing to earn a goal in five straight games at the start of the season. Alvarez will look to tie this team record tonight against the Wave. DaSilva is currently riding a four game point-scoring streak, which has marked a goal or an assist in each game has has played in for the Storm, since beind acquired from St. Louis in a January trade. The Hoffman Estates native will also look to tie Alvarez's five-game streak by either recording a goal or an assist as the streak stands for longest goal and points streak for a Storm player.

Streaking Storm: The Chicago Storm is currently riding a five game winning streak into this weekend's action against the Milwaukee Wave. The four game winning streak is a team record that Storm set starting earlier this season from November 13 through November 26 when the Storm defeated the Baltimore Blast (3-1), Philadelphia KiXX (7-4) and the Milwaukee Wave (8-7). The latest Storm streak has seen the team defeat the Cleveland Force (8-4), Milwaukee (7-3), St. Louis Steamers (5-3) and the Kansas City Comets (8-4).

Home Sweet Home: The Chicago Storm has settled in to their home at the UIC Pavilion by posting a 7-4 mark at the West Loop venue. Currently the Storm in the the midst of a seven-game home-stand and has posted a 4-1 mark thus far. Milwaukee enters the weekend as the next opponent for the Storm, but the St. Louis Steamers will the last team the "Yellow and Black" faces that will round out the home-stand. The Storm will host their I-94 rival Milwaukee Wave tonight with both teams winning three games each so far this season. The first 3,000 fans in attendance will receive a Storm mini soccer ball. The Storm and the Steamers will renew their rivalry on Friday, February 18 at 7:30 p.m. CT to end the home-stand.

Game Change: The Chicago Storm's road contest at the St. Louis Steamers scheduled for Saturday, February 12 at the Savvis Center has been changed to Friday, March 25 at 7:35 p.m. CT.

Stewart's Solid Play: Storm midfielder Matthew Stewart joined the team as the 11th selection of the Expansion Draft held last summer. Stewart is one of three players on the Storm, that Head Coach and GM Frank Klopas and his staff selected in the draft (Andy Guastaferro and Sandre Naumoski are the other two). The El Paso, Texas native has scored 10 goals and three assist for 13 points in 15 games for Chicago thus far in the season, which surpasses his totals from last season with the Milwaukee Wave (36 games, six goals, 11 assists). The hard-working Stewart was hampered by a knee injury picked up in a game against his former teammates, but earned a bit of revenge as he scored in his return game on New Year's Eve against the Wave. As the Storm season continues, Stewart should be a vital piece to Klopas' puzzle.

Storm Shots:

· Only five players on the Storm roster have played in all 22 games this season (Novi, Sandre Naumoski, Lazo Alavanja, Gaston Pernia and Jorge Valle).

· Forward Byron Alvarez bagged his very first hat trick of the season in an 8-4 victory at home over the Kansas City Comets on February 5, bringing his season total to 17 goals and extending his scoring streak to four games.

· Storm goalkeeper Danny Waltman recorded 16 saves on 20 shots faced in an 8-4 victory at home over the Kansas City Comets on February 5, bringing his season total to 231.
