Cleveland, OH (Friday, January 7, 2005) – The Chicago Storm of the Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) dropped an 8-1 result tonight to the Cleveland Force at the Convocation Center in Cleveland, OH. Storm forward Jorge Valle scored the lone goal of the game for Chicago at 1:58 of the first quarter. Cleveland's John Ball registered a hat trick in the contest as the Storm falls to 6-10 and sixth place in the MISL.

"We did not do the little things tonight," said Storm Head Coach and GM Frank Klopas. "Cleveland played very well and did a lot of the things that we need to do to win games. We have a few injuries, but we need to regroup and head into a difficult match at St. Louis and keep focused."

Cleveland scored the game-winning goal at 9:56 of the first quarter on a goal by midfielder Robbie Aristodemo to make the score 2-1.

The Force took a 4-1 lead into the locker room at the half with goals from Ball, Aristodemo, Rene Rivas and Joel Bailey. The Storm scored the first goal of the night only 1:28 into the game as David Schneider found Jorge Valle in front of the net as the Mexican forward slotted home his eighth goal of the season.

The Storm attacked the Force in the second half, but came up empty as Cleveland scored four more goals to extend the lead to 8-1. The loss is the largest margin ever for the Storm and the one goal is also the smallest output for Chicago.

The Storm returns to action Sunday, January 9 at the St. Louis Steamers at 6:05 p.m. CT from the Savvis Center in St. Louis. The game will be broadcast live via internet radio at www.chicagostorm.net and www.broadcstmonsters.com. The "Yellow and Black" return to Chicago for a date with the Kansas City Comets on Sunday, January 16 at 3:00 p.m. CT at the UIC Pavilion. The game will be live on www.chicagostorm.net and Univision Radio WRTO 1200 AM in Spanish.
