Chicago Fire FC Midfielder Alvaro Medran Receives U.S. Green Card

CHICAGO - Chicago Fire FC today announced that midfielder Ãlvaro Medrán has received his U.S. Green Card, granting him permanent resident status in the United States. With permanent resident status, Medrán will no longer occupy an international slot on the Fire's roster.
Signed by the Club on Oct. 10, 2019, Medrán, 26, made 23 appearances (23 starts) and tallied two goals and six assists in his first season with the Fire.
The Fire currently have nine international players under contract for the 2021 season: Ignacio Aliseda, Robert BeriÄ, Jhon Espinoza, Gastón Giménez, Stanislav Ivanov, Chinonso Offor, Boris SekuliÄ, Luka StojanoviÄ and Carlos Terán.
Chicago currently has 29 players under contract for the 2021 season. Below is the Fire's current 2021 roster.
