With the Fever holding a one-point lead (58-57) with 1.6 seconds remaining, Indiana's Tamika Catchings recorded a steal, was fouled and then connected on two free throws to seal the victory. The Sting had one last chance with 1.1 seconds remaining but turned the ball over on the inbounds play. Catchings led the Fever with 12 points. Allison Feaster scored 14 points for Charlotte while Sheri Sam and Tangela Smith both finished with 11. The Sting outshot the Fever 41.7% to 39.7%, but lost the battle on the boards 32-31.
STING NEWS AND NOTES
STING HOST SUPERWOMAN EXHIBIT
A special photo exhibit featuring some of the top women in sports will be displayed at the Charlotte Coliseum beginning Saturday, June 25 and running through Saturday, July 23. SuperWomen is courtesy of the Women's Sports Foundation, Head & Shoulders and Wachovia.
To open the exhibit, the Sting will host Women In Sports Night on Saturday, June 25 as they take on the New York Liberty. A reception featuring WNBA President Donna Orender as the keynote speaker will be held in the Crown Club at 4:30 p.m. Tickets for the event are on sale now for $30 by calling (704) 424-WNBA.

UPCOMING STING EVENTS
June 23: WNBA Be Fit Tour
The WNBA Be Fit Tour presented by McDonald's will be at the Charlotte Coliseum on June 23 as the Sting host the San Antonio Silver Stars. Fans can participate in a variety of interactive activities that promote health and well-being beginning at 5 p.m.
June 25: Sting Experience Auction
Sting fans will have the opportunity to bid on interactive experiences with their favorite Sting players on June 25, prior to the game against New York at 6 p.m. Some of the experiences include dinner with Sheri Sam and playing HORSE with Kelly Mazzante. All proceeds benefit the Bobcats Charitable Foundation. For a complete list of available experiences visit www.charlottesting.com. The auction will take place at Section 115 on the Charlotte Coliseum concourse.
THE WEEK AHEAD
Thursday, June 23 - vs. San Antonio
7 p.m. - Charlotte Coliseum
The Sting return to action as they host the Silver Stars on Thursday, June 23. It is the final meeting between the teams this season. The two teams met on June 2 with San Antonio recording a 69-62 win. Marie Ferdinand and Katie Feenstra each scored 16 to lead the Silver Stars while Tammy Sutton-Brown posted 15 to pace the Sting. The Silver Stars currently hold a 2-9 record. Ferdinand leads the Silver Stars with 14.6 points while South Carolina native Shannon Johnson leads the team with 5.0 assists.
Saturday, June 25 - vs. New York
6 p.m. - Charlotte Coliseum
The Sting continue their homestand with a match-up against the New York Liberty. This will be the first meeting between the two Eastern Conference foes this season. The Liberty currently sit in fourth place in the Eastern Conference with a 4-4 record. The Liberty are led by Vickie Johnson who averages 13.5 points while center Ann Wauters and guard Becky Hammon also average double figures for New York.
FEASTER FOR THREE
Sting guard Allison Feaster recorded a season-high 14 points as she went 5-of-8 from the field and 4-of-5 from three-point range on June 16 vs. Indiana.
HITTING FROM LONG RANGE
The Sting currently rank third in the WNBA in three-point field goal percentage shooting 41.1% (37-90) from beyond the arc. Sting guard Dawn Staley ranks fifth in the league in three-point field goal percentage shooting 52.9% (9-17) from three-point range.
CONSISTENT SMITH
Sting forward Tangela Smith has been one of the most consistent players for the Sting this season. The 6-4 Smith has scored in double figures in seven of the Sting's nine games this season and is averaging 11.3 points per game.
CATCH THE STING ON TV
C-SET will broadcast three more Sting games
this season. The next C-SET broadcast will take
place on June 30 as the Sting travel to Washington.

BOBCATS TO PICK 5TH AND 13TH IN DRAFT
The Charlotte Bobcats will have the 5th and the
13th selections in the 2005 NBA Draft.
The NBA Draft will take place on Tuesday,
June 28 in New York.
