Charleston Claims Miskiri

Charleston Lowgators News Release


GREENVILLE, S.C., December 3 – The Charleston Lowgators have added point guard Jason Miskiri to the roster, according to an announcement today by National Basketball Development League Director of Basketball Operations Chris Alpert and Charleston head coach Doug Marty. The Lowgators also released guard Tony Rutland.

This will be Miskiri's second stint in the NBDL. The 6-foot-2, 190-pound George Mason ('99) product played in seven games for the Greenville Groove in 2001-02, averaging 19.9 minutes, 7.9 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.4 assists. Miskiri also played briefly for the Charlotte Hornets during the 1999-2000 season and was a member of the Houston Rockets summer league team in 2003.

Rutland played in three games for the Lowgators, averaging 6.7 minutes, 1.7 points and 1.0 rebounds per game.

Miskiri is expected to be in uniform when the Lowgators (1-2) host Asheville (1-2) Friday at the North Charleston Coliseum. He will wear jersey #12.
