Charleston Battery to Participate in Cooper River Bridge Run

Charleston, SC. The Charleston Battery has teamed up with the Cooper River Bridge Run and for a fourth year the Battery players will be assisting at the start of the race on Saturday morning. The players will then run as a team in the 10K race.
The Cooper River Bridge Run begins in Mount Pleasant, crosses the Cooper River to Charleston and finishes at Marion Square. In 2013 the race was won by Simon Ndirangu of Kenya in a time of 28 minutes and 6 seconds.
Following the race the Battery players will attend a post-race party at Molly Darcy's Traditional Irish Pub and Grill at 235 East Bay Street, Downtown Charleston.
The Charleston Battery's next match is away at Orlando City on Saturday, April 12 with kick off set for 7:30 PM (1450 AM / charlestonbattery.com).
