Charleston Battery News Release
The Charleston Battery will pay tribute to prisoners of war (POW) and soldiers missing in action (MIA) at MUSC Health Stadium on Saturday, June 8, 2019.
They will also honor their match day Hometown Hero, Mr. Robert Floyd Hennessee, a WWII Veteran and Purple Heart recipient. The POW/MIA Chair of Honor Dedication will take place during halftime of the Charleston Battery match, which kicks off at 7:30 p.m. The chair remains roped off and always unoccupied to help people remember that even though our soldiers are not here, there is still a space for them at the stadium.
Thanks to Akima (www.akima.com) for sponsoring both Military Appreciation Night and the Battery Hometown Hero.
