Ignite responded with a bucket of their own, but it was new Cavaliers Two-Way Player Brodric Thomas who had a sequence of a steal, split free-throws and a turnaround jumper with 4.9 seconds to give the Charge their first lead of the half, 112-111. On the other end of the court, Ignite's Isiah Todd managed to knock down the 16-foot rainbow bank shot to take the game.

Two-Way Player Devon Dotson tied his season-high of 21, shooting 7-for-9 from the floor and coming away with three steals. Thomas tallied his first double-double with Canton, finishing the night with 18 points and 10 rebounds in 35 minutes. Antonio Blakeney was hot off the bench, knocking down 16 points, including a perfect 3-for-3 mark from behind the arc while Marques Bolden was one rebound short of a double-double, posting 15 points, nine boards and two blocks in 31 minutes.

Canton came out of the gate quickly, taking a 24-8 lead off baskets from four different players in the opening minutes of action. Ignite responded with 12 unanswered points to close the deficit to four.
