Cedar Rapids, IA (June 16, 2004) River Raiders announce today their will be a change in entertainment for the June 17th game vs. the Dodge City Legend. Originally the game was to have a half-time appearance by the Kenya Acrobats, within the last twenty-four hours two of the acrobats had been hospitalized for health reasons.
As a replacement for the act for Thursday Nights game "The Red Panda Acrobat" will dazzle the crowd as Krystal rides a seven foot unicycle, kicks several bowls at a time into the air and lands them in an ever-growing and wobbly stack of bowls on her head. Each successive flip is done with a greater number of bowls. Krystal also holds the world record for this act, a feat that was broadcast on the Guinness World Records television show in 1999. Red Panda Acrobat has been featured at many different NBA games and events for many years.
On June 18th the mascot from the Seattle Supersonics "Squatch" will return to dazzle you and on Father's Day the LA Laker Girls will be on Hand to entertain as the River Raiders host the Oklahoma Storm in the last home game of the 2004 inaugural season.
