Champions preparing for busy weekend
November 17, 2006 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Anderson Champions News Release
While the Champion's home opener resulted in a loss, it was still a successful introduction to the Anderson community. Over 1,300 fans were at the Wigwam and were treated to a fast paced high scoring contest.
This weekend, the Champions will be entertaining the Chicago Rockstars on Saturday at the Anderson High School Gymnasium. Tip-off will be at 5:05. On Sunday, the Peoria Kings will travel to Anderson to battle the Champions at the Wigwam. Sunday's game will feature the Indiana Pacers Power Pack as half time entertainment. The Power Pack is one of the premier Acrodunking squads in the United States. They perform high flying acrobatic dunks with flips, twists and intricate combinations using trampolines.
Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams. For information on professional minor leagues, please see OSC's basketball section.
