CFL Update: Blizzard Players in Canada

Over the past couple seasons, there have been many Green Bay Blizzard players to move on and play in the Canadian Football League (CFL).
Former Blizzard defensive lineman Odell Willis is currently having a breakout rookie season with the Calgary Stampeders. After only seven games, Willis already has six sacks which ties for the third best total in the league. He has made 12 tackles and recovered two fumbles in addition to his six sacks.
Current teammate of Willis, Ronnie Amadi also plays for the Stampeders as a defensive back. Amadi played for the Blizzard in 2007, but now starts for the Stampeders and has made 20 tackles, one sack and three pass knockdowns this season.
Playing for the Saskatchewan Roughriders, defensive lineman Joe Sykes saw some playing time in his first game and had one pass knockdown.
A three year veteran of the CFL, Randee Drew plays for the Montreal Alouettes and had his most productive season in 2007 when he accumulated 67 tackles, three sacks and four interceptions. Before playing for the Alouettes, Drew was a defensive back with the Blizzard during the 2006 season when the team advanced to ArenaCup championship in Puerto Rico.
"As a head coach in a developmental league, it is important to help players get better and advance in their professional football careers," said Blizzard head coach Bob Landsee. "To see their success in the CFL makes me proud and the entire Blizzard organization proud to have worked with them here in Green Bay."
