Highlights:
An outstanding all-round game that included 20 carries for 164 yards and five receptions for 48 yards.
Game Notes:
Ranek displayed impressive versatility and the ability to read and feel the running lanes. He ran hard every carry, stayed on his feet and broke several tackles. It often took a second or a third defender to bring down the Renegades' running back. Ranek averaged 8.2 yards per touch, including a 66 yard dash.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Player Name: William Fields #2 - Winnipeg Blue Bombers

Highlights:
Solid defensive game intercepting two passes, recording three tackles and one pass knockdown.
Game Notes:
Fields made made big plays and was around the ball all game. His play recognition and anticipation were very impressive. His two interceptions were a direct product of his anticipation.

LINEMAN OF THE WEEK
Player Name: Gavin Walls #98 - Winnipeg Blue Bombers
Player Position: Defensive End
Highlights:
Great defensive line play that included three quarterback sacks, two tackles and hurried the quarterback several times.
Game Notes:
On a night that both defensive units were dominating, Walls was outstanding. His quickness and speed was dangerously matched with great power. His energy carried him through the game, displaying the same amount effort for the whole match.

2nd Runner Up: Rahim Abdullah #53 - Calgary Stampeders

SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Player Name: Tony Tompkins #14 - Edmonton Eskimos
Player Position: Kick Returner
Highlights:
Tompkins returned eight punts for 142 yards, including a 80-yarder. He also had two kickoff returns for 67 yards.
Game Notes:
Tompkins showed explosive speed and acceleration, helping his team gain great field position. His ability to break into the open lanes will lead opponents to take notice and attempt to punt around him.
