
CFL fines Shivers

Toronto, Ontario - The Canadian Football League announced today that General Manager Roy Shivers of the Saskatchewan Roughriders has been fined for his public statements made earlier this week regarding Calgary Stampeders quarterback, Henry Burris.
The Commissioner's office, on the advice of the Senior Vice-President of Football Operations, investigated the incident and imposed a fine today consistent with the League's position on unprofessional and inappropriate comments of this nature.
