Central Valley Fuego FC Welcomes Jermaine Jones as New Head Coach

FRESNO, CA - Central Valley Fuego FC is thrilled to announce the appointment of Jermaine Jones as the new Head Coach for the Club. Jones, a renowned figure in the world of soccer, brings a wealth of coaching acumen, following his distinguished career as a player. This will mark his first appointment as a Head Coach of a senior team. Jones was most recently the Assistant Coach for the USA Boys U19 program. Jones is a holder of the prestigious UEFA Pro coaching license.

A United States Men's National Team (USMNT) legend, Jones had a remarkable career. Born in Frankfurt, Germany, Jones went on to represent the USMNT with distinction. His time with the USMNT included several World Cup appearances, notably contributing to the team's electric journey to the Round of 16 in the 2014 FIFA World Cup. Jones is widely recognized for his relentless work ethic, defensive prowess, and leadership on the field.

Jones's club career is equally as impressive, having played for top European clubs such as FC Schalke 04, Eintracht Frankfurt, Besiktas and Blackburn Rovers, including 27+ appearances in UEFA Champions League. After fourteen years of competing across Europe, Jones joined the New England Revolution in Major League Soccer (MLS) as a Designated Player. Throughout his extensive playing career, Jones showcased his commitment and ability to perform at the highest levels of the sport.

Upon his appointment as Head Coach, Jones expressed his enthusiasm for the role: "I am thrilled to join CV Fuego FC and to immediately begin building a team that the community will be proud of."

Central Valley Fuego FC's Managing Partner, Juan Gerardo Ruelas Jr., shared his enthusiasm about the new appointment, stating, "We followed a lengthy and rigorous process and arrived at our decision to hire Jermaine, which we feel is the correct one. We look forward to the 2024 season and beyond with great anticipation and are confident in Jermaine's ability to lead our team to success!"
