FRESNO, CA - Central Valley Fuego FC is thrilled to announce the signing of Belizean defender Deshawon Nembhard to its roster, marking a significant addition to the team's defensive capabilities.

Deshawon Nembhard joins Central Valley Fuego FC after an impressive tenure with South Georgia Tormenta FC in the 2022 and 2023 seasons, where he showcased his exceptional talent and versatility on the field.

Nembhard's journey in professional soccer has been marked by notable achievements and contributions to his national team. He received his first call-up to the Belizean Men's National Team in March 2021, immediately making an impact by scoring a crucial goal in a World Cup qualifier match against Turks and Caicos Islands. His defensive prowess and leadership were further demonstrated through full 90-minute appearances against both Haiti and Nicaragua, showcasing his ability to compete at the highest level.

Prior to his time with South Georgia Tormenta FC, Nembhard played a pivotal role in Stumptown AC's inaugural professional season in 2021. As a versatile left-back, he logged an impressive 1,620 minutes in 18 games, contributing two goals from the backline. His addition to the team's roster further strengthens its defensive lineup and enhances its competitive edge in the league.
