Celebrity Softball Game To Benefit Homeless

Don't miss the first-annual Home Run For The Homeless Celebrity Softball Game at Drillers Stadium on Thursday, July 19. The game will feature approximately 30 sports and media personalities and will raise money for the Tulsa Day Center for the Homeless.

Stadium gates will open at 6PM and the game will begin at 7PM. Adult tickets are only $5.00 and children, age 12 and under, will be admitted free of charge.

Some of the celebrities that are scheduled to appear include current NFL players Garrett Mills and Rocky Calmus as well as former OU and OSU players Steve Davis, Jimbo Elrod and Melvin Gilliam. Ex-NBA players Shea Seals and Lee Mayberry are also scheduled to play.

Founded in 1985, the Tulsa Day Center for the Homeless provides a safe and healthy environment for the homeless. It also provides opportunities for those individuals to achieve self sufficiency. The center services an average of 448 individuals a day, and last year, it provided care to 12,119 individuals.
