
Celebrity Softball Game at T.R. Hughes Ballpark

River City Rascals News Release
O'Fallon, MO - The River City Rascals, presented by Progress West Healthcare, will host the Charli Anna Foundation Celebrity Softball Game featuring former St. Louis Blues and St. Louis Cardinals on Saturday, May 9, 2009 at T.R. Hughes Ballpark.
Game time for the event is slated at 6:05 pm with an autograph session featuring former Blues and Cardinals players along with several local personalities at 5:05 pm. Gates will open at 4:35 pm. There will also be a "shirt off their back" raffle and a sports memorabilia auction on the concourse level.
Former Cardinals Jack Clark and Al Hrabosky along with former Blues Jim Campbell, Jamie Rivers, and Chase Affleck lead-off the rosters. The Rascals coaching staff of Chad Parker, Steve Brook, and Bryce Florie will also play in the event. Other participating players are to be announced periodically between now and the event.
All proceeds from the event will benefit the Charli Anna Foundation and go to help in securing rent for a duplex near The St. Louis Children's Hospital for displaced families during long-term stays at The St. Louis Children's Hospital.
The Charli Anna Foundation is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to helping families of children who have long-term hospital stays, especially heart patients' families, by providing housing / hotel stays, food vouchers, spiritual aid and many other services.
Tickets go on sale Monday, February 23 at 9:00 am. All tickets for the May 9 exhibition event are $10.00 if pre-ordered or $15.00 if purchased on the day of the event.
