(AKRON, OHIO) - The Akron RubberDucks will give fans two opportunities to enjoy the best fireworks in Northeast Ohio on Independence Day weekend.

On July 3, let Three-Dom ring by watching Space Jam: A New Legacy on the Canal Park videoboard followed by fireworks. Tickets are $10 with proceeds benefiting the Summa Health Foundation. Gates open at 6:00 p.m. with the movie starting around 7:00 p.m. Fans can enjoy the movie from the stands or on blankets in the outfield grass.

On July 4, celebrate America's birthday by watching America's pastime. The Akron RubberDucks will play a special Monday night game against the Altoona Curve. First pitch will be at 7:05 p.m. After the game on July 4, the RubberDucks and City of Akron will be partnering to bring back the downtown Akron July 4 fireworks show after a one-year hiatus.

"We are excited to have the downtown fireworks show return to Akron," RubberDucks General Manager and COO Jim Pfander said. "The fireworks show is always a big part of the pageantry that is Independence Day in downtown Akron. We want to thank Mayor Horrigan, the Lock 3 staff and all who have worked hard to make the combined show a reality."

The fireworks will take place immediately following the conclusion of the RubberDucks game and can be seen from Canal Park.

Fans can purchase tickets to movie night on July 3 or Monday night baseball on July 4 by calling 855-97-QUACK or visiting akronrubberducks.com.
