
Cavalry Sign Forward Adam Spanich

LAWTON, OKLA.- Oklahoma Cavalry President/General Manager Otis Birdsong announced today that the team has signed 6-7 Forward Adam Spanich.
Adam Spanich, out of the University of Southern California in 1999, will suit up for his first Cavalry game tonight when the Cavs take on the Great Falls Explorers at 6:05 p.m. (MST) in Great Falls, Mont.
Forward Darold Crow has been put on injured reserve.
Spanich joins the Cavs after spending February and March of 2007 in the NBA Development League with the Tulsa 66ers. He graduated from Cedar Rapids Regis High School and was named the 1995 Iowa Mr. Basketball, awarded to the best high school basketball player in the state of Iowa each year.
He spent his last two college seasons playing for USC from 1997-99 where he was named the PAC 10 Newcomer of the Year in 1997 and led the conference in 3-point field-goals made and free throw percentage during the 97-98 season.
After graduating from USC in 1999, Spanich has played in a variety of professional leagues and most recently played overseas in France from 2004-05 and for Lebanon Anibal and Lebanon Riyadi from 2005-07.
