PIKEVILLE, KY. - Junior dance squads from throughout Eastern Kentucky now have the opportunity to join the Reno's Roadhouse Diamond Girls - official dance team of the East Kentucky Miners - on the East Kentucky Expo Center hardwood. Throughout the remainder of the season, area junior dance squads will be invited out onto the East Kentucky Expo Center floor when the Reno's Roadhouse Diamond Girls perform during the first timeout of each Miners home game.
"All area junior dance squads are invited out onto the floor to join us during the first timeout of each home game," said Reno's Roadhouse Diamond Girl Jilleyn Brown Vickery. "We're excited about having all of the junior squads join us on the floor during home games."
The Miners play all of their home games inside the East Kentucky Expo Center. East Kentucky has already hosted Pittsburgh, Rio Grande Valley, Butte and Atlanta. One of four expansion teams in the Continental Basketball Association (CBA), East Kentucky is 5-4 after its first nine games.
East Kentucky has a two-game road series scheduled versus Albany Dec. 7-8.
The Miners are due to host Minot on Monday, Dec. 10 in their next home game.
Tip-off for the East Kentucky-Minot game is set for 7:05 p.m. Tickets for the upcoming home game remain available. The phone number for the East Kentucky professional basketball team's ticket office is 606-437-9715.
