
Cats sign RHP Kevin Hull

The Fort Worth Cats have signed right-handed pitcher Kevin Hull today.
Hull was named the Central League's Rookie Pitcher of the Year in 2005 after going 8-6 with a 3.53 ERA in 21 games with Edinburg. He made 18 starts for the Roadrunners and pitched 120 innings, striking out 101 and walking 53 while permitting 115 hits.
He was 7-1 with a 2.05 ERA in 12 starts at home in 2005 and limited opponents to a .261 batting average. His first professional start came at LaGrave Field against the Cats on May 14. He allowed two earned runs on 11 hits in 5 2/3 innings that night.
Hull, 24, pitched collegiately for Collin County Community College, Richland College, Eastern New Mexico and Northwest Oklahoma State. In 2004, he was 7-6 with a 5.25 ERA in 16 appearances at Northwest Oklahoma.
He was born in Weatherford and attended New Braunfels (TX) Canyon High, where he was an all-district selection in 1998-99.
