
Cats re-sign RHP Kevin Hull

The Fort Worth Cats have signed right-handed pitcher Kevin Hull to a contract for the 2007 season, it was announced today.
In his first season with the Cats, Hull went 7-4 with a 3.25 ERA in 19 games. He worked 110 2/3 innings, allowed 110 hits and struck out 78 for the American Association champions. He won six of his last eight decisions on the season and won four straight from May 28- June 25.
Hull was named the Central League's Rookie Pitcher of the Year in 2005 after going 8-6 with a 3.53 ERA in 21 games with Edinburg. He made 18 starts for the Roadrunners and pitched 120 innings, striking out 101 and walking 53 while permitting 115 hits.
He was 7-1 with a 2.05 ERA in 12 starts at home in 2005 and limited opponents to a .261 batting average. His first professional start came at LaGrave Field against the Cats on May 14. He allowed two earned runs on 11 hits in 5 2/3 innings that night.
Hull, 26, grew up in Weatherford and played college baseball at Northwestern Oklahoma State University.
