North Adams SteepleCats News Release

SteepleCats built a solid cushion in the divisional standings after rattling off 5 wins in a row. After dropping their last two games to divisional opponents however the Cats lead has thinned, but they still hold a game and a half lead on the 2nd place team in the divisional standings. The SteepleCats have 19 games left as they will look to get another win streak going and hopefully clinch a playoff spot in the next 12-15 games. Though in a division where the teams are so clustered together nothing is guaranteed at this point of the season as 5 of the 7 teams have a legitimate shot at taking the top spot in the division. The first team that can string some wins together against their divisional opponents and create some space at the top of the division will most likely take the top spot. The Cats have put themselves in a good position as they have been at the top of the standings for just about the entire season, however, it appears that whatever team that can get hot down the stretch will be the one to take the divisional crown. With under 20 games left in the regular season every game is crucial in this race.
