
Casper's Hynick Earns Pioneer League Honor

Casper, WY - The Casper Rockies' RHP Brandon Hynick has been named the Pioneer League pitcher of the week for the week of July 17th to the 23rd.
Hynick, a 6-3 righty out of North Royalton, Ohio, struck out a career high 10 batters before leaving in the sixth inning of a scoreless tie on Thursday, July 20th against the Great Falls White Sox. The Rockies eventually won the game 1-0 on a 9th inning wild pitch.
Hynick, drafted in the 8th round of the 2006 draft, is currently 2-2 this season with a 2.64 ERA. He has given up just four earned runs in his last 22 innings.
