CINCINNATI, Ohio -- Cincinnati Mighty Ducks left wing Casey Hankinson, who tied for the AHL lead with a plus-11 rating and had 12 points (five goals, seven assists) in 13 games, has been named the Fifth Third Bank Mighty Ducks Player of the Month for January.

Hankinson edged defenseman Chris Armstrong (two goals, 12 assists in 13 games) and center Keith Aucoin (five goals, six assists in 14 games) for the award.

Hankinson tallied points in nine of 13 games and had a career-best eight-game point streak from January 11-27 as the Ducks posted a 6-4-3-1 record despite missing as many as many as six regular players due to injury or call-ups to the NHL Mighty Ducks of Anaheim. The native of Edina, Minnesota recorded three multiple-point games and paced the club with 56 shots on net during the month.

Playing in his sixth professional season, Hankinson has 10 goals and 18 assists with 49 penalty minutes and a plus-10 rating in 45 games with Cincinnati this season. The Ducks' captain was rewarded for his hard work and leadership January 30 when he was recalled by Anaheim.
