
Carlos Munoz Hat Trick Seals Wave Victory Against Ambush

MILWAUKEE - The Milwaukee Wave defeats St. Louis Ambush 24-4 at the U.S. Cellular Arena on Saturday night. The Ambush and Wave took the field together for the first time, and the result was a landslide victory with #18 Carlos Munoz adding his second hat trick of the season.
The Wave came out in the first half strong, scoring 8 points in the first period and 16 points in the second period. Just minutes into the game, #14 Nick Perera scored. Shortly after, #29 JC Banks followed up with another Wave goal to give the Wave the early 4-0 lead over the Ambush. #16 Mike Roach tacked on a goal for the Ambush closing the gap, 4-2. After Roach's goal, the Wave dominated, adding 12 points going into the half. Wave goals were scored by #18 Carlos Munoz (2 goals), #8 Fabio Riberio (2 goals), #77 Marcio Leite (2 goals), and #21Giuliano Oliviera.
The Wave continued to move past the Ambush in the second half, adding 8 points to get the 24-4 win. Second half Wave goals were scored by #12 Pablo Da Silva, #23 Victor Quiroz, and #18 Carlos Munoz (2 goals).
Carlos Munoz finished the game with four goals and a hat trick. Munoz last hat trick was against in the Baltimore Blast in the Wave's come from behind victory. Munoz now has scored three or more goals twice this season.
With tonight's win, the Wave improve to 5-1 on the season. The St. Louis Ambush drop to 2-5.
