Cardinals release 2004 schedule

Today, in Augusta, New Jersey, the New Jersey Cardinals officially released their 2004 NY-Penn League schedule. The season marks the Cardinals 11h in New Jersey. The Cards open at home on Friday, June 18th at Skylands Park against the Hudson Valley Renegades (Tampa Bay Devil Rays). A massive fireworks display will follow the game, first pitch is set for 7:15 PM.

Highlights for the 2004 season include 16 weekend home dates comprised of (5) Friday, (7) Saturday, and (4) Sunday games. For the third straight season the NY-Penn League will have an unbalanced schedule with an emphasis on division rivals. The slate features six home games against the Renegades, five versus the Brooklyn Cyclones (New York Mets), five against the Staten Island Yankees (New York Yankees), and five against Cal Ripken Jr.s Aberdeen Ironbirds (Baltimore Orioles). In what has become a staple of the holiday weekend, the Cardinals will be home on Friday, July 2nd at 7:15 PM against the Brooklyn Cyclones. Following the game there will be a massive fireworks show. The Cardinals close out the regular season on Saturday, September 4rd at home against Aberdeen.

Gametimes for the 2004 season remain the same as last year. Monday through Friday at 7:15 PM and Saturday & Sundays, first pitch coming at 5 PM.

Currently the Cardinals are offering fans full season tickets and partial season ticket plans. The full season tickets are priced at $325 for box and $225 for reserved. Half season plans are $180 for box and $125 for reserved. Six packs are $57 for box and $40 for reserved. Tickets can be purchased by calling the ticket office at 1-888-njcards, stopping the team offices at the stadium at Skylands Park, or on the team website at njcards.com.
