Cardinals Carvan Sold Out
January 7, 2010 - Midwest League (MWL1)
Quad Cities River Bandits News Release
For the sixth consecutive year, the 2010 Cardinals Caravan, making a January 18th stop at Modern Woodmen Park, has sold out. All 375 seats for this year's visit were sold within two weeks of going on sale.
"The fact that the Caravan sold out as quickly as it did is a testament to enthusiasm the Quad Cities has for the Cardinals and the River Bandits,"Â said team owner Dave Heller. "Despite the cool temperatures outside, it's great see so many people getting excited about baseball at this time of year."
The Cardinals Caravan will take place on Monday, January 18th in the Suite Banquet Area of Modern Woodmen Park. Doors will open at 11:00 a.m. with the event beginning at noon. It features a buffet lunch followed by St. Louis Cardinals representatives speaking about the upcoming season, sharing stories and answering questions. Following the program, fans will have the opportunity to meet and get autographs from the Caravan participants and win great prizes from the Cardinals and the River Bandits.
Participants of the Caravan will include past, present and future Cardinal greats and will be announced by the Cardinals in the coming days.
"We look forward to hosting this event every year,"Â said River Bandits Vice President and General Manager Kirk Goodman. "The Cardinals Caravan has quickly evolved into one of the most highly anticipated off-season events for our fans. The community response to this has been tremendous each winter, and this year's event may top them all. We're also excited about the opportunity to inform our fans about all that we have coming up for the 2010 season including ticket plans and Rascal's Kids Club, presented by Modern Woodmen of America."
UP NEXT: Modern Woodmen Park is staying busy as a special events venue over the off-season, providing the perfect atmosphere for parties, corporate functions and more. Meanwhile, the 2010 baseball schedule has been released and fans can already put down a deposit on season ticket and mini-plan packages - including the brand new Super Seven Plan - right now by calling (563) 3-BANDIT.
