January 7, 2019 - National Pro Fastpitch (NPF) - Chicago Bandits News Release

ROSEMONT, Ill. - Chicago Bandits pitcher/infielder Ally Carda has been named to the 2019 U.S. Women's National Team roster, USA Softball announced Monday morning.

Carda, who signed with the Bandits as a free agent Jan. 12, 2018, posted impressive figures throughout her first season in Chicago. The former UCLA standout delivered 43.2 innings of work in the circle and sported a minuscule 1.60 ERA.

Carda collected five wins to go along with her team-high four saves and struck out 44 batters to rank second on the staff.

As a two-way threat, Carda also managed a .429 batting average across 21 at-bats, including one home run. She added five RBI throughout the season.

During her lone postseason appearance at the 2018 NPF Championship Series, Carda tossed one-third of an inning and allowed one unearned run while striking out one batter.

Carda, a native of Elk Grove, California, holds a number of international experiences on her resume. The 2015 Japan Cup MVP has also helped Team USA capture gold at the 2016 WBSC Women's World Championship, 2017 Pan American Championship and 2018 Japan Cup.

The four-time Cowles Cup champion Chicago Bandits will be back at Parkway Bank Sports Complex for the 2019 season. For more information about the Chicago Bandits or to reserve your season tickets, please visit or call the box office at 877-722-6348.
